There are families in rural India with monthly incomes as low as INR 1200 (USD 15). Our mission is to aid the personal and professional growth of marginalized women from these families through our skill development program. The training empowers them financially and makes them job-ready.

Refresh is our skill development program, where we train rural women in industrial stitching to recycle discarded clothes. Women are trained in multiple batches at the master training facility in Gurugram, Haryana. Their annual family income increases 5x post-training. The capacity-building sessions on weekends help inculcate urban etiquette in them.
“When things got more challenging in lockdown with my husband losing his job, we struggled to continue our son’s education. They asked for twenty thousand rupees even for online education. So we decided to provide him with the tuition only besides teaching him at home. I want to do everything to support him. Through Refresh, I want to excel in stitching, something I’ve been passionate about all along, and secure a better life devoid of poverty for my child.”
“I don’t know why it is selfish to help your parents after marriage. A girl gets very few opportunities to get independent. Not working, sets you up for a lifetime of misery, especially if poverty becks at the door. I took it upon myself to pay back the loan taken by my family members. Refresh is the new hope in my life, my attempt towards independence and freedom. It has empowered me enough to stop the same thing from happening to my daughter.”
