I had to discontinue my education during the covid. Papa couldn’t earn enough to pay for the education of two. And being a girl, I was the natural choice for the compromise. I spent the entire first wave helping mummy with household chores. It was almost frustrating to stay at home the whole day with nothing to do. We had a TV and mobile phone but no recharge. Then, I joined Refresh, and my life changed into something purposeful. I was doing something I already had a passion for – stitching and, at the same time, supporting my father. In the second wave, we worked from home even during the lockdown, which saved me from the monotony of household chores.
