My father did not allow me to pursue singing because he felt it was not a girl’s profession. He never supported my sisters or me, even in our education. But we persisted despite his reluctance. If I could change something in the world, it would be this predetermined inequality that exists in our society where a boy is by default better and more talented than a girl.

Refresh is my first step towards the freedom I’ve been longing for; it has been helping me to sustain my education. It has taught me the power of unity, the importance of learning. I wish to become a teacher someday and provide the world with a better perspective.
